Light skin, cool undertone
The plums stay plum
Deep purples usually blend out to gray on me. These stay vivid, even at the edges.

Shade Carbon Black · Oily lids
No raccoon eyes at five o'clock
I have oily lids and every mascara ends up under my eyes by the afternoon. This one has not moved once. It comes off in the shower in little tubes, which was strange the first time.

Shade Tint 2 Neutral · Light skin, neutral undertone
My skin, but rested
Four drops, fingers, thirty seconds. It does not look like makeup. I have stopped wearing foundation on weekdays.

Shade Bronze Hour · Deep skin, warm undertone
A highlighter made for deep skin
Bronze Hour looks like light on my cheekbones, not a gray stripe. I bought a backup because it is limited.

Shade Rose Glass · Fair skin, cool undertone
Worth the waitlist
I waited three weeks for Rose Glass. It is the only shiny lip product I own that my hair does not stick to.

Takes the liquid lip off without a fight
I used to scrub my lips raw. Ten seconds with this and it wipes away.

Nightbloom is the berry I wanted
Deep, a little purple, and completely even. The liner under it makes it last through dinner.

Shade 250O · Medium to tan skin, olive undertone
The first olive that is actually olive
Every warm foundation I have owned goes orange on me and every cool one goes gray. 250O is the first bottle that looks like my neck in daylight and in my car mirror. I did the minis first and I am glad I did, because I was sure I was a W.

Shade Rosewood Hour · Light skin, neutral undertone
A matte I can wear all day
Most mattes turn my lips into a desert by noon. This one feels like a balm that happens to be matte. Rosewood Hour is my everyday.

Shade 250N · Medium to tan skin, neutral undertone
I did not have to pick the concealer
I chose 250N and the right brightening concealer arrived with it. First time a base routine matched out of the box.

Pores on my nose, gone
Not gone, obviously. Blurred enough that I stopped looking at them. A pea really is enough.

Slim and solid
It holds my six shades with room to grow, and the magnet is strong enough that nothing shifts in my bag.

Moss on deep skin
A green that is rich instead of ashy. The duochrome over it shifts from gold to violet.

Shade 250O · Medium to tan skin, olive undertone
Settled a two-year argument with myself
I have never known whether I am warm or olive. One day in 250W, one day in 250O, and it was obvious by lunch: the W went orange and the O vanished. Fourteen dollars well spent, and I got it back on the bottle.

Rich skin, neutral undertone
Beautiful on dark lips
It reads as a rich plum on me rather than black. The oil on top is perfect.
How to write a review
Open the product
Go to the page of the product you bought and scroll to Reviews.
Choose Write a review
You do not need the invitation we email a few days after delivery; the button on the page works the same way.
Add your shade
A rating, a title and a few lines. Tell us the shade you wear and, if you are comfortable, your depth and undertone. How the shade looked on you in daylight helps more than anything.
Wait for the check
Reviews are checked before publishing, so yours may take a few days to appear.
Review questions
Do I get anything for leaving a review?
No. There is no review reward, and we do not offer one.
My review is really a problem with my order.
Write to us first and let us solve it: a Shade Promise exchange, a refund for a cracked powder, a warranty claim. You are still free to leave whatever review you wish afterward.
Can I edit my review?
A posted review can't be changed from your side. Write to us with the change, and our team takes care of it.
Can I remove my review?
Removing a published review is done by our team on request.
Do you publish negative reviews?
Yes. A review is not rejected for its rating. We only decline reviews that are not about the product, contain personal information or are abusive.
Why does a shade look different in our photos than on my screen or my skin?
Because every phone and every light shifts color. That is exactly why we shoot each complexion shade under three lights, and why a review with the shade named is a useful second opinion.
