Questions
The number is the depth and the letter is the undertone. There are twelve depths, from 100, the lightest, to 430, the deepest, and four undertones: C is cool, N is neutral, W is warm and O is olive. So 250W and 250O are equally deep, and only the undertone changes.
A common sign is that warm foundations look orange on you and cool ones look gray or ashy. Olive sits between them, with a soft green cast. If that sounds familiar, compare the W and the O at your depth in the Light Test photos, or wear both with the Shade Match Duo.
Every shade is oxidation tested at four hours: we read the color again after it has been on skin for half a working day. If foundations usually turn orange on you by lunch, it is worth knowing that the undertone may have started a touch too warm, so look at the N or the O at the same depth.
That is what the Shade Promise is for. Within 45 days you can exchange it once for another shade of the same foundation, even if you have worn it, and the return label is on us. It starts in the returns portal: choose Shade Promise exchange and pick the new shade.
Neither. The finish is satin: skin-like, with a soft sheen and no shine. If you want dewy and sheer, that is the Dewlight Skin Tint.
Yes, both. We do not claim that it is non-comedogenic or hypoallergenic, and we do not publish a cruelty-free certification, so we will not tell you it is any of those. The full ingredient list is on this page.
About three months of daily wear at one pump a day. If yours is running out much faster, you are probably using two or three pumps; one really does cover a face.

Shade 250O · Medium to tan skin, olive undertone
Every warm foundation I have owned goes orange on me and every cool one goes gray. 250O is the first bottle that looks like my neck in daylight and in my car mirror. I did the minis first and I am glad I did, because I was sure I was a W.

Shade 410N · Deep to rich skin, neutral undertone
Deep shades usually lean red on me by the afternoon. 410N stayed exactly where it started through a ten-hour shift. One pump, dense brush, a little powder on my nose.

Shade 100N · Very fair skin, neutral undertone
I am very fair and most light shades are either pink or yellow. 100N is neither. It looks like skin, and it photographs well with flash, which I did not expect.

Shade 230N · Medium skin, neutral undertone
230W looked right on the page and a little too golden on my face by midday. I used the exchange for 230N, which is perfect. Four stars because I wish I had ordered the minis first, like the page told me to.

Shade 150W · Light skin, warm undertone
I checked it against the bottle at lunch out of curiosity and it had not shifted. Satin is the right word for the finish. Not flat, not shiny.

Shade 350W · Deep skin, warm undertone
What sold me was the flash photo of 350W. It looked on me the way it looked there. I have never been able to say that about an online swatch.

Shade 310O · Tan skin, olive undertone
Color match in 310O is excellent. My pump started sticking after about six weeks and I have to wipe the nozzle every few days or it spits. The foundation itself I would give five.

Shade 130C · Fair to light skin, cool undertone
I was using three pumps and wondering why it felt heavy. One, spread with a damp sponge, looks like my skin on a good day.

Shade 210O · Light to medium skin, olive undertone
On days I moisturize properly it is beautiful. On dry winter skin it catches around my nose. Not the foundation's fault exactly, but worth knowing. I use the skin tint on those days.

Shade 330W · Tan to deep skin, warm undertone
My face is lighter than my body, and 330W splits the difference so I do not look like I am wearing a mask. Bought a second bottle as a backup.

Shade 230C · Medium skin, cool undertone
Cool undertones in medium depths are rare. 230C does not turn peachy on me. I wear it with a little setting powder and nothing else.
